The United Nations Association of New Zealand (UNA NZ)

The United Nations Association of New Zealand (UNA NZ), with Patrons Her Excellency the Governor-General, The Rt Hon Dame Cindy Kiro GNZM, QSO, and Rt Hon Helen Clark, is committed to promoting the principles of the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and to supporting the UN’s central role in advancing global peace, justice, and sustainable development. The organisation educates New Zealanders about the UN’s work and encourages public and government engagement, while recognising the importance of ongoing reform to strengthen the UN’s impact.

Through events, educational programmes, youth initiatives, and national forums, UNA NZ raises awareness of global challenges and fosters the skills needed to navigate an increasingly complex international environment, with a strong focus on the Sustainable Development Goals, global security, and UN renewal.
