EITI Incorporates Gender Reporting Requirements Into its Revised Standard

Helen Clark talks about gender inclusive governance at EITI.

It's good to see more and more organisations recognising the need to apply a gender lens to their work. The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) has incorporated gender reporting requirements into its revised Standard - the Standard, implemented by more than fifty countries, promotes best practice governance in the extractive sectors. Looking at how these sectors include and treat women is important. Watch a short video which I recorded on this at EITI's triennial global conference in Paris last year at which I assumed the Chair of the global Board of the Initiative.
